Dear Parents and Guardians,
Current weather models and online weather enthusiasts are predicting some potential weather that may affect our area late Friday afternoon through Sunday night. It is not certain what our area will experience this weekend, but there is always a chance that inclement weather could prevent in-person learning from taking place.
In order to be prepared for potential E-Learning Days next week if the forecasted weather prevents us from in-person learning early next week, I wanted to share our E-Learning / Emergency Plan, so you know the requirements for your student to be successful if an E-Learning Day is to take place. Please review the following information below regarding our Emergency Day and E-Learning Day Plans:
1. Emergency Day / Snow Day - No attendance for students or staff. No assignments for students. Enjoy the day.
2. E-Learning Day - Students will be expected to complete their assignment in their packets for each day that we are out for e-learning. These pages of the packet will need to be returned to school the first day we are back in session. Teachers will be reaching out on e-learning days to take attendance through email or phone calls.
Teachers, support staff, and administration will be available electronically from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm on E-Learning days, but students can always reach out to their teachers and other staff members with questions outside of the designated time. However, students should be aware that teachers, staff members, and administrators may not be available after 1:00 pm.
Attached you will find District #43's E-learning protocol.
Have a safe and happy weekend.
Sincerely,
